Caregiver & Patient Safety

Sundance’s fluidized technology is incorporated throughout our products and can be used to reposition patients safely, assisting the caregiver in the maintenance of a therapeutic turning schedule. Patients can be safely turned using our products.  Our technology’s unique ability to contour and support increases patient comfort while a therapeutic turning and repositioning schedule is maintained. Increased patient comfort helps drive patient compliance. This improves caregiver safety as constant repositioning due to lack of compliance is reduced.

The Patented fluidized technology “Zero Memory” & ‘Zero Flow” formulation are some of the unique characteristics behind Sundance’s innovative products.  These characteristics enable it to respond three-dimensionally to the forces caused by patient movements and are designed to maximize both contouring and support, allowing the boney prominences to be effectively off-loaded while promoting neutral spinal and limb alignment.

Therapeutic & Clinical Outcomes

Facilities that have incorporated Sundance’s technologies as a standard of care have seen a positive impact on hospital acquired pressure ulcers within the adult, pediatric and neonatal population.  Anecdotal clinical reports of benefits to individual NICU infants have included improved comfort, sleep, calming, physiologic stability, weight gain, skin protection, and positional alignment. Reduction of pain medication, sedation, and supplemental oxygen has been documented for some infants.
